The force behind the synergy labeled Sixtrees, our founder /creative director, Max Lim, has always felt 3D as a pervasive element in his life, even during childhood. After several years of relevant experiences in architectural design, we witnessed the birth of Singaporean 3D studio, Sixtrees Viz Comms Pte Ltd. Since then, we have been rendering 3D images and videos and continue to do so for a roster of clients belonging to various disciplines. Our local experiences greatly helped us with opportunities to produce 3d visual arts for showcase beyond the Singaporean borders, to include North America, Central America, Asia, Australia and more.
From the time of our inception, we have had a steady growth, expanding numerically- from a one-man show to more than 10 diligent and talented 3D artists in Singapore - and geographically – with a recently-opened branch in the Philippines, aptly called Sixtrees Philippines, Inc. Our team of diverse cultures is an advantage which allows us to have flexibility in dealing with clients from countries outside of our own.
We have been paved with opportunities that have led us to work on award-winning documentaries, produced by Singapore's Caldecott Productions, a subsidiary, of arguably the country's biggest media broadcaster and provider, MediaCorp. Before F1 racing became a craze in Singapore, drawing in hordes of celebrities and tourists yearly, a local, well-known film director, tapped us to produce CG/VFX simulating an F1 race, for one of his blockbuster movies. This prompted us to spread our 3D wings further and found ourselves successfully juggling between our usual breadth of 3D projects and animations for medical, marine, engineering uses, while continuing to employ cutting edge technology and techniques.
